(Mission)

(tac) is a mission-driven lifestyle brand that provides queer individuals with apparel and accessories that they identify with and work for them.

 

By identifying basic, practical needs and aesthetic interests of non-binary individuals, (tac) provides clothes that address specific design needs, such as performance features and the variability of queer bodies, while simultaneously supplying a sense of validation, self-actualization and identity expression by catering to the stylistic interests of such individuals.

Equally important to (tac)'s mission is a dedication to provide sustainable, ethically-produced apparel at a reasonable price point. The environmental and human rights offenses that currently permeate the global apparel and accessories supply chain are simply unacceptable. and (tac)'s founders believe they have the vision and industry connections to create a brand free of such issues.

While (tac)'s initial goal is to launch a finished goods eCommerce store at www.theseareclothes.com, expansion plans include building a well-recognized brand name featuring a lifestyle blog and digital community forum.

Our ultimate goal is to penetrate a sizable portion of the online retail market and to become a leader in expressive and high-performing, responsibly-produced apparel.

(tac) will build its brand on three fundamental apparel and accessories product categories:

SUSTAINABLE SHIPPING ACCESSORIES

Each of these categories will feature products that meet a current gap or void in the existing market for specifically outlined and increasing consumer needs. (tac)'s dedication to sustainable, ethically-produced apparel will form the basis for the elevated sense of quality, detail, durability, fit and pride that will accompany each piece.  

The value of these product offerings and (tac)'s brand will be strengthened by plans to incorporate lifestyle blog content and a digital community forum on (tac)'s eCommerce website.

(STRATEGY)

(tac) recognizes the current needs for non-binary clothing and the demand for a responsibly-produced apparel and will seek to meet that demand through targeted, brand and product development and marketing efforts. The Business Model Canvas linked here provides an overview of (tac)'s business model with select calculations and estimates based on initial projections.

By establishing and adhering to a set of core values that appeals to our target market, (tac) will sets the bar high for our competitors. We will promote our business with targeted marketing campaigns on platforms that are used regularly by our target market to organize and communicate within the LGBTQ+ community, including TikTok and Instagram, and other LGBTQ+ media, such as weekly e-newsletters, websites and print media.

 

Our goal is to keep our marketing budget to no more than 5% of our gross annual sales, and we will partner with charitable organizations that support our target market's interests, such as Casa Ruby and the The DC Center for the LGBT Community, as often as possible.
